Title & Document Recordation Services

IATS can conduct a complete search of FAA records and identify and interpret all prior titles, adverse interests, liens and claims. Separate searches are also conducted for airframe and engines on all prop-driven aircraft with engines of over 750 SHP, and on all jet aircraft with engines producing 1,875 pounds of thrust each, in accordance with FAA recordation procedures. IATS can deliver fast, efficient, and money-saving recordation of bank mortgages and aircraft registration for any aircraft registered in any country in the world. Upon completion of filing and recordation, IATS can notify a lender or purchaser by phone or facsimile or by conducting a search after the recordation with the FAA.

Escrow Transaction Services

IATS can act on written escrow instructions from all parties to a transaction, serving buyer, seller, borrower, and lender in a single country or state, or in several, quickly eliminating many burdensome and costly details of closing, including release of documents only upon payment.

Tax-Free Aircraft Exchange

IATS can assist in tax-free aircraft exchange transactions under Internal Revenue Code Section 1031.

Research & Consultation

Researchers and consultants at IATS are able to gather all information rapidly and interpret it to provide definitive answers to the many questions that arise during an investigation or research project. Copies of documents on file with the FAA – bills of sale, registrations, leases, and liens – can be provided to verify information. For example, when an aircraft title turns out to be clouded, the IATS research department assists clients in locating the parties involved and will help acquire the documents needed to remove the cloud in the aircraft file.

Pilot Reports & Information

IATS can obtain and report various information about individual pilots, such as their rating, the type of certificate which has been issued, the class and type of aircraft that a pilot is authorized to fly, and whether there are any restrictions, medical or otherwise, associated with their certificate.
